JV Pender

Pastor JV and Moriah have been married since February 2018. They met at Lee University where they both obtained their bachelors. JV has his Bachelors in Pastoral Ministry and Moriah has her M.A. in Clinical Mental Health with a license in Marriage and Family Therapy. Moriah is employed by Shorter University and Battlefield Ministries. They currently do not have any children, but they do have a spoiled dog named Lucy.

From Pastor JV and Moriah: “Rome is home away from home for us, and we love pastoring students at North Rome. This is such a wonderful church and we are so thankful that the Lord has called us here. We believe the best is yet to come for the Student Ministry at NRCOG & that we are stepping into a season where students will know Christ and live a life that is passionate about Him.”

What food to you crave, and what food do you detest? I crave Taco Bell. I detest sour cream.

Name somewhere in the world you would like to visit. I would love to visit Israel.

If I’m eating a candy bar, it’s probably a… pack of skittles (not a big candy bar fan)

If I have an evening free, I like to spend it… Hiking or walking my dog with Moriah, or taking pictures of nature

What is your favorite season of the year? Summer & Christmas!
