Kanaan Coppock

Children’s Pastor

Kanaan is originally from Ranburne, AL and moved to Fyffe, AL in 2006 as his parents took a ministry position in the area. Kanaan served alongside his parents in ministry beginning at a young age and grew in ministry under their leadership. Ministry has always been a family affair for the Coppocks. Kanaan’s sister, Kaci, serves as a Children’s Pastor in North Carolina and his father, Tim, serves as Lead Pastor in Rainsville, AL.

Kanaan has served as a Children’s Pastor, along with his wife, Elizabeth, for over 6 years. God has burdened Kanaan to see children experience Christ’s love and power in their lives TODAY! Through building relationships with children and presenting the Gospel in an exciting, fresh, way, God has blessed the ministry. Kanaan and Elizabeth have led many ministry classes at national children’s conferences and served alongside incredible children’s ministry leaders at state and national level events. They strive to see children become KID ministers by providing ministry opportunities for the children within the local church.

From Kanaan: I am excited and blessed to have this opportunity to serve as Children’s Pastor at North Rome Church of God. I hope to glean from the wisdom and experience of the church staff and leaders of North Rome and use that knowledge to impact the younger generation for the kingdom of God. Children are the church of TODAY and with God’s help they will change the world for his glory. I am beyond grateful to play a small role in training up disciples that will speak truth and life into this world.

Name one thing on your bucket list: Attend a baseball game at Wrigley Field in Chicago, Illinois. I love sports and it would be incredible to watch a game at one of the oldest ballparks and see the ivy covered outfield wall of Wrigley.
 What food do you crave and what food do you detest? I crave any type of Mexican food and enjoy trying different flavors of chicken wings. I don’t detest any food. I enjoy trying all kinds of cuisine.
 Name somewhere in the world you would like to visit. I would like to visit England. My family came to the United States from England and I would like to experience a part of my heritage.
 If I am eating a candy bar, it’s probably… Hershey’s Cookie and Crème or Zero Bar
 If I have an evening free, I like to spend it… Enjoying time with my wife and kids or finding a new restaurant to try.
