Outreach

The purpose of the Outreach Ministries of North Rome is to reach those who are outside the walls of our church with the message and the love of Jesus Christ. We do this by ministering to all we meet, especially those who are unsaved, un-churched, homeless, incarcerated, etc. We are blessed to be able to serve in the mission field in our community, nationally and internationally with our prayers and through our work in World Missions, benevolence ministry, and various community outreach ministries.

New Beginnings Outreach provides ministry to our community through monthly outreach. This outreach includes opportunity to receive a hot meal, groceries, toiletries, and clothes, but most importantly the gospel and God’s love. In addition to the ongoing monthly ministry, New Beginnings Outreach provides a Thanksgiving basket for hundreds of families, which includes everything needed for a full Thanksgiving meal. Another ministry of New Beginnings is to provide Christmas gifts for hundreds of children in our community. New Beginnings Outreach also holds a Sunday School class in the Family Life Center of North Rome each Sunday morning. Everyone is welcome to join this discipleship and outreach ministry, led by Pastor Rick and Tammy Jacobs.

H.E.L.P. is an outreach ministry of North Rome that reaches into city and county schools, offering teachers support through resourcing their classroom. Each year 4 schools are chosen and each teacher in those schools given opportunity to complete a “wish list” of things that will assist them in their effort to educate our children. We believe that by equipping teachers we lift the potential of students and therefore our community. Al Gallant leads H.E.L.P. Ministry for North Rome Church of God.
